This great annual pilgrim trek by Buddhist, Celebrates the Buddha's foot Print. The pilgrim season extends from December to April and draws thousands of Buddhists from all over the world, who climb the peak through picturesque forested paths via Hatton or Rathnapura. The trek lasts from mid night to early dawn, taking in unforgettable spectacle of sunrise over the sacred peak.
